perbedaan drp persamaan.
2. Aliran generalisasi terbatas
yang sangat ketat- “School of the strictly limited generalization” iaitu
sejarawan yang murni deskriptif narratif.
3. Aliran generalisasi atas dasar trends/arah gejala - “the school of
generalization on the basis of trends”- sejarawan interpretatif - yg
mengemukakan beberapa hipotesis dari teori yg dpt membantu menjelaskan sejumlah peristiwa2 sejarah yang
berkaitan.
4. Aliran generalisasi atas dasar perbandingan- “the school of
generalization on the basis of comparison” -
comparative historians.
5. Aliran generalisasi yang berlaku untuk prediksi
dan control- “the school of generalization that have validity for prediction
and control”, i.e the nomothetic historians.
6. Aliran filsafah sejarah kosmis, “the school of cosmic philosophies of
history”, i.e. the philosophers of history.
